Dear Middle School Band Members and Families:
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to invite all current middle school band members to join us for an exciting and enriching Mini Band Camp. The camp will be held at the Laurel Highlands High School band room from June 5 to June 6, starting at 6:00 pm and concluding at 9:00 pm each day. The camp is free!
Our Mini Band Camp is designed to provide students with a fun and immersive musical experience while introducing them to the world of marching band. This is an excellent opportunity for students to explore their interest in music, develop their instrumental skills, and build camaraderie with fellow musicians.
During the camp, participants will have the chance to:
1 Learn fundamental marching band techniques from experienced instructors.
2 Enhance their musicianship through ensemble rehearsals and sectionals.
3 Gain insights into the dynamics of marching band performances.
4 Engage in team-building activities and make new friends who share their passion for music.
We believe that the Mini Band Camp will not only foster musical growth but also instill important values such as discipline, teamwork, and dedication in the participating students. It will serve as a stepping stone for their musical journey and potentially open doors to exciting opportunities within the marching band program at Laurel Highlands.
We request that interested students bring their instruments, comfortable clothing, and a positive attitude to ensure a successful camp. Snacks and refreshments will be provided during short breaks to keep the energy levels up.
We encourage you to spread the word among the middle school students and their parents/guardians. Attached to this letter is a flyer containing further details about the Mini Band Camp, including registration information and contact details for any questions.
