A huge congratulations goes out to LHHS junior Lorien Seaton for winning first place in the Highway Safety Network/State Farm Billboard Design Contest for 2026! Her design was overwhelmingly selected as the winner from student entries for PennDot District 12, which spans four separate counties.

Lorien submitted her entry through the LHHS SADD Club, with sponsor Mrs. Jennifer Neill. Her winning design, which shows a heartbeat coming to a stop, states the message "Driving Distracted Could Be the End of the Line... No Excuses!" Throughout the month of April, which is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, it will be featured on a billboard located near Main Street in Uniontown, near Papa John's Pizza. Make sure to check it out if you are in the area.

Additionally, Lorien won a monetary prize of $1,000 for the SADD Club and $1,000 for herself. On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in a surprise presentation, she was awarded her check and posters. With family members and representatives from PennDot HSN, State Farm, Lamar, and LH district present, Lorien was interviewed by The Daily Courier, where her story will be featured in the near future.

We are so proud of you Lorien, awesome job!
