The Fire Alarm sounded at the high school this morning, 9/18, and it was determined to be a faulty sensor. After fireman cleared the building the students were allowed back in. We thank our faculty and students for their quick exit of the building and the quick response of area fire stations. All is clear at this time.

Elementary After School Program LH partnered with Private Industry Council (PIC) to run an Afterschool STEAM Program at each elementary school for students in grades K-5. It includes fun STEAM activities, hands on projects, help with homework, and social emotional learning. Transportation and Snacks are provided. NEW ONLINE Driver’s Education Class Registration Form 2026 Laurel Highlands High School will once again offer an online driver’s education course during the second nine weeks starting on October 28th and running through January 20th. 909 Driver’s Education Theory* online course has been developed for sophomores, juniors, and seniors and must be taken prior to the Driver’s Behind the Wheel course. LHSD would like to congratulate the graduating Class of 2026. We will livestream the graduation on LH's Facebook page starting at 5:00 pm.

Seniors Kasey Mahoney (Swimming) and Sara Reed (Volleyball) were recently recognized for their outstanding athletic accomplishments and dedication to sports. Pennsylvania State Representative Charity Grimm Krupa presented both students with official certificates to honor their achievements.

PennWest University's Dual Credit Innovation Grant — awarded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education — is making college credits free for eligible LH High School students. Please see the attached document for more information about this amazing opportunity!
