It is with great pride and pleasure that we present the winter issue of the  Highlites . A huge thank you to the students who submitted work, and also to the faculty and staff that sent articles too. FYI: This paper includes a link to the photo booth pics taken right before winter break. LH had 3 players selected from this years boys basketball team who made all section teams.  Kayden Smith made 1st Team.  Luke Martin and Tyrone Burton made 2nd Team.  Jude Packrone and Sevi Vechiolia Recieved honorable mentions. Congratulations!

Brady Sirochman, a 9th-grade student at Laurel Highlands Senior High School, won 1st place at the International Academic Competitions Regional Qualifier in Pittsburgh, PA, on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The LHHS Interact club has been busy bringing Christmas cheer to elementary students and preschool students in our LH community. Our Interact club members had the joy of delivering Angel Tree gifts to Hatfield, Marshall, Clark, and Hutchinson. Bringing the spirit of giving to children in need was an unforgettable experience. The high school Interact club just wrapped up another  project. Our amazing students created beautiful Christmas cards for the veterans in our area. Their kindness and thoughtfulness will surely bring smiles and warmth to those who have given so much for our country!

The LHHS SADD Club is once again pairing with sophomore, Alice Frankhouser, to assist with her Alice's Blessing Bags initiative. Frankhouser, who is also in SADD, has been doing this for the last 5 years as a way to help the homeless community in Uniontown. Later this month, students will stay after school to help stuff the bags. Unfortunately, donations are rather low this year, so we are posting Alice's flyer now. Starting today-Tuesday, November 25 th -change in tip-time for boys’ 7 th  and 8 th grade home basketball games.   All home games played at Laurel Highlands Middle School will start at 4:00 p.m. (previously they were scheduled for 3:30 pm tip-off).
