Laurel Highlands High School's Class of 2023 has made a remarkable achievement, with five students earning spots in Division 1 college athletic programs. Less than 2% of high school athletes go on to play at the Division 1 college level.
Rodney Gallagher will join West Virginia University's football team, while Frank Kula heads to the University of Rhode Island for baseball. Keondre DeSheilds will play football for St. Francis University, Mia Pierce joins Duquesne University's track and field program, and Ella Ciez swims for Cleveland State University.
These talented student-athletes exemplify the values of hard work and dedication. Laurel Highlands High School celebrates their success and wishes them continued achievements at the collegiate level.
