The Laurel Highlands Interact Club recently organized a successful coat drive in support of the Uniontown City Mission-Living Stones Emergency Shelter. With the winter weather and below freezing temperatures, we wanted to make sure that those in need had warm coats to help them through the cold season. The response was overwhelming, and there were many generous donations of gently used coats. The collected items were delivered to the shelter, where they will provide comfort and warmth to men, women, and children facing hardship. It was a rewarding experience for our students to see how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others.
