LH's Kalich Accepted to U.S. Naval Academy

Connor Kalich, a senior at Laurel Highlands High School, has been accepted into the U.S. Naval Academy for the class of 2028. Out of roughly 23,000 candidates, only 1,200 are chosen, making Kalich's appointment an extraordinary achievement!

Kalich has excelled academically and will be graduating summa cum laude with the class of 2024. Kalich has also participated in dual enrollment at several universities including West Virginia University and the University of Pittsburgh. His commitment to leadership and community service is evident through his involvement with the nonprofit Miracle League and his various leadership roles at Laurel Highlands High School including the National Honors Society. Kalich’s athletic record is impressive too, with significant contributions to LH's football, baseball, and golf teams.

Through his participation in the Naval Academy Summer Seminar, Kalich grew his leadership and problem-solving skills, which are set to further grow once he attends the Naval Academy.

The Laurel Highlands community is proud of Conner's accomplishments and supports him as he prepares for this new chapter and continues to represent our community with pride, honor and distinction.

Congratulations Conner Kalich!
