Self-Advocacy Workshop Series Empowers Individuals with Disabilities




The Center for Assistive and Rehabilitative Technology (CART), in partnership with the Commonwealth Technical Institute at Hiram G. Andrews Center (CTI at HGAC) and the Pennsylvania Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC), is hosting a series of workshops aimed at empowering individuals with disabilities through self-advocacy skills. This free series covers vital topics, including disability rights, the ADA, Medicaid Waiver Programs, and assistive technology, helping participants communicate their needs confidently and independently.


Workshops are held monthly at 1:00 PM via Zoom, with CART captioning provided.

January 15, 2025: Transportation

February 19, 2025: Assistive Technology
