Dear LHSD Students, Parents, Guardians, and Staff:
In an effort to provide clarity and transparency to a disturbing matter, please be aware that on 12/14/21 an anti-semitic drawing was written on one of the men’s restroom walls in our high school. Accompanying this symbol, was a disturbing statement citing a possible future threat. To that end, the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) are involved in the investigation of the matter, and that investigation is in its infancy and ongoing. Throughout the investigative process, we have operated in the best interest of students and staff. Additionally, we have consolidated our efforts to bring resolution to this matter. At present, the PSP has persons of interest and are pursuing those leads.
We have taken into account all the necessary steps and procedures to establish and maintain a high level of safety for students and staff. We appreciate your support and patience in this matter. Thank you.
