Dear Staff, Students, and Stakeholders of the Laurel Highlands School District,
During the afternoon of 1/11/23, the high school administration and security were made aware of a possible weapon in a student vehicle. Upon school security personnel investigation in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Police, it was determined that a Pellet type weapon was in the vehicle of one of our students. To that end, all necessary precautions and protocols were followed. At no time was there any danger to students, staff, or visitors. The matter is currently in the hands of the authorities and the Laurel Highlands School District is cooperating fully. We appreciate your support and patience.
